Internal Medicine Resident at University of Toronto

I am a first-year internal medicine resident at the University of Toronto and a recent graduate of the MD program at McMaster University. My Hellenic roots trace back to Tripoli, Greece, where my grandparents began their journey to a new life in Canada. Growing up in Toronto’s Greek community, I was actively involved in Greek school, dance, Sunday school, and served as an altar boy at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. These experiences instilled in me a lasting appreciation for community, mentorship, and cultural heritage.

During my undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto, I served as president of the Greek Students’ Association, where I was passionate about promoting access to higher education and reducing financial barriers to post-secondary education. I established two annual $1,000 scholarships and helped raise $5,000 to support Greek Canadian students with financial need and academic excellence. I later joined the Hellenic Heritage Foundation’s Next Generation Committee to further support young adult-focused initiatives in our community.

Now, as a member of the Canadian Hellenic Medical Society, I look forward to continuing this work—connecting with fellow Greek Canadian physicians and helping support the next generation of leaders in medicine and beyond.
