Gynaecologic Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellow at McMaster University
Dr. Vasilia Vastis is a Canadian board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist. She earned her medical degree (MB, BCh, BAO (Hons)) from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, where she was honored with the Medicine and Surgery Award, receiving the 1st Place Gold Medal.
Dr. Vastis completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, and is currently pursuing a fellowship in Gynecologic Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at ONE Fertility with McMaster University.
Dr. Vasilia Vastis is a dedicated researcher specializing in reproductive health, infertility treatment, and women’s health. She has been actively involved in multiple research projects, including Wearables in Infertility Treatment, Air Pollution and IVF Outcomes, and the impact of COVID-19 on fertility treatments. As a primary author on several peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations, her work has contributed to advancing knowledge in fertility care and even cannabis use in pregnancy. Dr. Vastis’s research has been recognized at national and international conferences, underscoring her commitment to evidence-based medicine and improving patient care.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Dr. Vastis is also deeply committed to giving back to her community and supporting the next generation of medical professionals. As the President of the Canadian Hellenic Medical Society, she works to raise funds for scholarships, empowering Hellenic Canadian medical students to pursue their dreams and make a positive impact in the field of medicine.
