The purpose of the Canadian Hellenic Medical Society is to connect physicians, residents and medical students living in Canada of Greek heritage with the intention of sharing knowledge through CME events, providing networking opportunities, and awarding scholarships to medical students.
Our Story
The Hippocrates Hellenic Canadian Medical Association of Ontario was founded in 1983 by Dr. Dimitrios Giannoulias as a non-profit organization.
Previous presidents of the association include Dr. Apostolos Tountas, Dr. Angela Mailis, Dr. Anastasios Karantonis, Dr. Nick Logarakis, Dr. Sophia Mobilos.

For the past 40 years it has been a source of continuing medical education for the physicians and allied health professionals of Hellenic heritage.
Our Mission
We are committed to promoting medical education and knowledge sharing among Greek medical professionals in Canada. Our aim is to provide opportunities for our members to enhance their medical expertise and to foster a sense of community.
Our Vision
We envision a future where Greek medical professionals in Canada are well-connected, highly skilled, and positively contribute to the Canadian medical community.
